Capt. Alok Praharaj graduated from Indian Marine Academy with distinction. There after he has served in different ranks on board ocean ship while the vessel was on unlimited voyages. He had completed mate, master exam and achieved highest rank onboard the ship. After sailing as captain for several years he retired and started working as marine surveyor in 1986.
After his retirement, Captain Alok Prahraj planned to form a company in the maritime sector. As a result, American Marine & Cargo Inc. is an independent marine survey company founded in 2004 by an experienced team of Master Mariners, Marine engineers who bring together a wealth of sea going as well as surveying and consultancy experience.
Under the leadership of Capt. Alok Praharaj, owner and founder of “American Marine & Cargo Inc.” we have been carrying out any task related to the maritime industry and ships. From a humble beginnings, in about two decades AMCI has, grown to be a professionally one of the most recognized marine survey company in the region with a diversified client base.
